Cannot load system tray icon

Thu Sep 02, 2010 11:51 am
I've just installed KDE 4.4.5. When I start it, KOrganizer displays the following message: "Cannot load system tray icon." Does anyone have an idea why it cannot do this?

do you have the system tray widget installed on your panel?

what version of KOrganizer, could there be a mismatch with 4.5?

what distribution?

Yes, I do have the system tray widget installed on the panel. I even have icons there (e.g. pidgin, skype).

Version of KOrganizer as displayed by "korganizer -v":
Qt: 4.6.3
KDE Development Platform: 4.4.5 (KDE 4.4.5)
KOrganizer: 4.4.5

Distribution is Linux from Scratch.
