Hi,

since recently, my KDE 4.5.1 under sabayon linux worked just fine. But without any evident change in the configuration, now neither KDE nor any KDE application will start; instead they just hang indefinitely and take 100% CPU (well, of one of my two CPU cores). Running various applications through gdb and Ctrl+C-ing them, then looking at the backtrace didn't provide much useful information; the backtraces differ from program to program. However, quite some programs have KIconLoader involved in the last few calls. If it helps, tell me, I'll pastebin some of those backtraces.
I tried (re)moving .kde and .kde4, this didn't change anything. I also tried ifconfig lo up (although I don't really have an idea about what this does, if anything but it once solved a similar problem for me), but this didn't help, either.

I'm really out of ideas; any help would be appreciated.
