I am running OO 3.3 on KDE 4.5.1, FreeBSD 8.0. I like to have quickstarter on
the panel but it doesn't works.
When I start the OO first time, it asked me for name, registration...and the
quickstarter icon shows on the panel and it works. But after restart of KDE quickstarter
icon doesn't shows up anymore.
soffice.bin is running. Quickstarter didn't show on OO 3.2 too.

I think this is an old app that hasn't been updated to kde4 as it seems to still uses kde3 locations for it's files (at least in my distro)

It could be that it doesn't show after restart because it needs to be added to your list of autostart apps - executable is /opt/kde3/bin/oooqs (again, at least in my distro)
