The flexibility of the kate part shortcut definitions in the kate editor settings is wonderful, but kate is the only program, apparently, that lets me access them. The settings do not carry over to the composer in kmail, to kwrite, etc, although these and others apparently share the kate part base.
Is there any way to change basic shortcuts in all kde apps that use kate part? Thanks, |

Does it look like http://imagebin.ca/view/C9kLTVn.html' ?
If so, this seems to be available in trunk, I used Settings > Configure Shortcuts in KWrite to see this.

Yes, exactly, and thank you. That menu is indeed available from kwrite and I see that kate part setting made in kate are not carried over to kwrite, so I gather each application keeps its own shortcut table for kate part.
This menu unfortunately is not available in kmail nor in kmail's composer window. Regards, |

kmail does not use the katepart in the email composer, see Bug #59481.
