It doesn't look like the program runs properly under wine currently:

I would suggest looking at the Wine AppDB to determine if a game you like is compatible.

I run in wine Tales of Monkey Island (perfect performance at higest graphics level), Monkey Island 2 Special Edition (perfect at all), Diablo 2 (perfect too), Plants Vs Zombies (perfect) and some more...
Maybe you need to install some wine libraries. Winetricks is a very useful script that download and install windows libraries. http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks For example, I needed to install the libraries xact and vcrun2005sp1 using winetricks. After that, Monkey Island 2 Special Edition runs perfect. |

http://www.playonlinux.com/en/ is a Linux app designed to help you install some Windows apps under Linux. These 2 site will help you determine what Windows app should run reasonably well under Linux http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name & http://frankscorner.org/.
Another thing to do is to Google the app name with Linux and/or Wine and you should see what experience others have encountered including tips that might help getting the app to run For instance I found this for Byond http://www.byond.com/members/?command=v ... ost=102653, read thru all the posts as not all posters were successful using the first tip |

They've got a linux client so why wine? Also, I noted you are on Arch:
toad@deskarch 966\2 ~ > packer -Ss byond aur/byond 479.1086-1 Game server based on the 'Byond' language [Build your own net dream]. You can install it from the AUR ![]() EDIT - sorry, I noticed the Arch emblem, yet you are on kubuntu, my mistake. In that case: install Arch ![]()

if you found instructions for Ubuntu then they should work just the same for Kubuntu as the underlying distribution is the same, the only difference is that one uses Gnome and the other KDE for the desktop environments. Heck the Ubuntu tips might work for all/most variants of Linux.
