Hi,
I am using kde since 4.0 and I have since then changed 3 keyboards. I am currently using KDE 4.4.3 on slackware 13.1 What bugs me is that if I choose to turn on the Num lock from systemsettings-->Keyboard & Mouse, KDE doesn't bother to check the LED status of Num lock after reboot, so what happens is the status is reversed, if the LED is on then the num lock is off and if LED is off then num lock is on! It has happened with PS/2 as well as with my HP-USB keyboard..can I do anything about it? Also if I switch to console by Alt+Fn key and type with Num lock on(via KDE) console won't take any input, I have to press num lock key(even if it's on and working in KDE) for Num lock keypad to work in console.. Thanks for all and any help.
ONLY KDE. Nothing else will do! It just..wont!

This is probably a bug, please file one at bugs.kde.org (with regards to it being switched from On to Off even if the setting specifies Turn On)
