Hi, I've configured one of my HDDs to be auto-mounted on system login. Here's the screenshot, below:
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/E6zD3bWccgBUge1G5WebEdD5VDQGWEJNaJoepdEoU78?feat=directlink It doesn't auto-mount on startup, however: I still have to mount it via Dolphin (and it asks for root passwd, btw). Note: I don't remember how I made this disk to mount automatically before upgrading to 4.6, but it was via the KDE system settings as well, and it worked correctly in 4.5. Note: up-to-date Archlinux with KDE from [extra].

That module has always been a bit strange for me, although I haven't look into it in detail yet. Try to check "Automount on Attach" as well and see if it works (it works here at least).

The trick is that I'm not sure if submitting a bug appropriate here. The module is called "removable media", and I'm trying to use it to auto-mount internal HDD.. Maybe that's the problem ![]()

indeed - what i could use (and maybe others could use as well) is an overview of the whole solid-hardware interface and how it interacts with the device notifier's automount support.
