Just updated from KDE 4.5.1 to 4.5.3 , and after that my klipper hotkeys dont work, copy/paste still work , but klipper pupup ( CTRL-ALT-V ) dont work anymore. I have tried to configure the hotkey through "global keyboard shutcut" and rebooted the system.
im running kubuntu 10.10 , with klipper version v0.9.7 , and Qt: 4.7.0 does anyone have a solution for this ? |

Can you reproduce under a new user?

No can not reproduce it with a new user, but with the new user the shortcut is listed in "global keyboard shortcut" plasma-workspace as systemtray-klipper-10 , that shortcut I don't have with my old user.
I have also tried deleting my kglobalshortcutsrc and klipperrc file, and copied the new from the new user to my old user, but no luck there Also tried export the plasma-workspace key-bindings from the new user , and then import the key-bindings in my old users profile , but still no luck. |

Did you make sure to perform the file removal and replacement outside of KDE? The shortcut framework runs as part of a KDE session, and likely stores the configuration in memory during it's operation.

I tried performing the file removal and replacement outside of KDE. It worked. Thank-you for the information. The crux of the matter was in the file, ~/.kde4/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc. It was necessary to change this line:
Systemtray-Klipper-10=,Ctrl+V, to: Systemtray-Klipper-10=Ctrl+V,Ctrl+V, This was sufficient to allow me to display the pop-up from the keyboard. I am already very happy with that. However, I have not been able to make the pop-up appear at the mouse cursor. It appears that this was formerly controlled by ~/.kde4/share/config/klipperrc, with the line: PopupAtMousePosition=true Do you have any suggestions to bring back the control of the pop-up location? Thanks. |

That is possibly a bug, please file a bug at bugs.kde.org.
