Hello, the newest package for my keyboard Num Lock is broken, so I've pinned it to the older, stable version. The problem is KDE giving me an update notification for this package every time I start KDE or update my packages, and it's annoying b/c I have to click it to make it go away. I looked into System Settings but couldn't find a place to turn it off for particular packages. The weird thing is that it's telling me I have two updates, and I guess that may be because I used to have the package on hold before taking it off hold and pinning it. I really don't know why it's telling me I have an additional update. I changed one of the notification settings months ago to make one of the notifications stop bugging me so much, so notifications appear at the top of my screen. I can't remember what I changed or which notification was bugging me, and I didn't make a note of either. By the way, the newest Num Lock package for my distro can't automatically turn on Num Lock when the desktop starts, so that's why I pinned my version to the older, stable one b/c having to remember to press the Num Lock button is just as annoying. I never could remember anyway.

"By the way, the newest Num Lock package for my distro can't automatically turn on Num Lock when the desktop starts" you can set num lock to sart in the keyboard module of systemsettings or alternatively within your bios

I assume you're using kpackagekit as your package manager? have you considered trying other options such as muon (which is kde based), smart, aptitude or synaptic for this?

Even with the Num Lock set, in System Settings, to turn on when KDE starts, it wouldn't be on by the time I went to use the number pad. I just checked everything in my BIOS but didn't see an option for the Num Lock. I've been using aptitude. Thanks
