Im really **** of!
I have a problem with kde because my var/lib/mysql fill up my hd and crash my kde... I have to create another user and install all it again (configs etc)... And now, withou my hd is filled or nothing, i cant log in anymore on my kde account... i try the command killall kdm to try access it as root, and it simply doesnt kill! If i try /etc/init.d/kdm stop, the system simply dares me, refusign to stop or kill the kdm process: "kdm not respondig to term signa PID (2274)! WTF???? I already sick of all this! After configure everything again, it simply crashes 3 days after without reason. How can i fix this and restore the system to access my user again? |

try as root "init -3" it will take you into failsafe terminal mode and it should kill kdm and kde

The init -3 syntax does not accepted...
i used init 3, kill kdm, run it again and i continue back to login screen I used init 1 too...created a new user again, nothing... i reboot computer and was able to kill kdm....but i cant log in anymore, no matter what! Even if i create a new user (adduser xxxxxxxxxx), i does not login... I get back to login/passwd screen... here is my kdm log: The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports: > Warning: Duplicate shape name "" > Using last definition > Warning: Duplicate shape name ""
