Hi there,
with KDE 4.4.4 I just plugged in my LUKS encrypted USB stick, KDE asked for the passphrase and then it was mounted. Now I have upgraded my OpenSUSE 11.2 to KDE 4.6.0 and I have installed udisks. Now, when I plug in my encrypted USB stick I get this error after entering the passphrase: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) How can this be fixed? I do not want to go back to KDE 4.4.4, only if there is no fix for this. I know SUSE did not provide udisks for openSUSE 11.2 but it was on their repo, so udisks is installed. Thanx |

you can try installing hal to see if it resolve it though you'll see multiple icons for external devices in Dolphin and device manager, etc....

As far as I know, KDE 4.6.0 has HAL disabled by default, unless you pass a certain environment variable through ~/.kde4/env/

HAL is installed on my system, it does not help. What variable do I have to set to enable it with KDE? Thanx |
