[KDE4.6] Mount sync without HAL

Mon Feb 21, 2011 4:53 pm
Hi,

is it possible to set KDE to mount my USB-Storage with sync mount option?
I use KDE 4.6 and mounting without HAL powered by the all new u* tools works so far great and without problems. I just like to mount with sync, if I have to choose safety or speed I take safety.

I hope someone can give me at least some hint where to look for informations.

Greetings

As far as I can tell based on the source code, this isn't directly possible without modifying the source code of kdelibs.

The needed code is located in UDisksStorageAccess::mount() in kdelibs/solid/solid/backends/udisks/udisksstorageaccess.cpp

The line to change would be 247 I guess.

That is really sad, I will open a bug to get a configuration option.
I am really bad at c++ so no patch from me for this.
