Since the update to 4.6 and now 4.6.1 i am not able to edit a text file in konqueror with kwrite view. Is it possible to reactivate it ?

I believe this is the intended behaviour as Konqueror does not allow any possibility of causing KPart's to save files as part of it's interface. It was likely a bug in Kate which allowed you to edit the document previously.

Quick question, is there anything one could do to override this behavior ? Opening a new window to edit files would ruin the purpose of the split view thing for me.

To the best of my knowledge it is not, but you could try checking the "Konqueror" menus to see if a "Read only mode" option is available. If it is, try unchecking that. Please note that you might also want to double check that saving works properly if you do that, as it may not function as you expect.

This is not generally supported however - as editing within Konqueror is not an expected operation.
