Click me for nice shiny image

See the bottom right input field ?
That appears in all gtk applications when I start typing so it shows what's trying to select for me from a folder or a listing.

Is there a QT/KDE setting to allow me to do the same ? (kde by default does the same thing as windows, it just jumps around without displaying what i typed, and i have to press keys rapidly so it goes to rea for example.

No, but I think there was a Brainstorm idea about it. The conclusion, if I remember correctly, was that both methods had their advantage, and that many (including me) preferred Dolphin's way of doing it.
