I was subscribing to the Corbett Report via RSS(fist time using rss) in Firefox and selected Ktorrent to deal with the rss feeds.
Then I got this ERROR:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'akregator -a "%u"'..

I've searched here and Kubuntu forums but could not find anyone with the same problem already posted. If someone knows where there is a thread to fix this I would be grateful.

I assume you meant akregator, not ktorrent.

Did you try adding the RSS feed manually to akregator?
