How can I install flash plugins

Sat Sep 10, 2011 11:35 am
Hi All,

I have tried installing mozilla firefox browser and chromium web browser through KPackageKit in Kubuntu 11.2, I also installed the Adobe flash plugin through KPackageKit. Still whenever I am trying to view any video in any browser Its still saying me that I have to update my Adobe Flash plugin. I tried restarting the system lot many times. Please guide me on how can I get the flash plugin installed.

11.2?

are you running 64bit?

in Chromium open plugin panel, in address bar type: about:plugins
is flash listed? is flash enabled?
click the "+" details button, what is the location displayed for flash?
flash should be either in /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so or /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so
