I'm looking for a method to where I can switch between English input and Japanese input whenever I'd like (hopefully with a hot key). On Gnome I've used Anthy, and it worked very nice. Is there something like this native for KDE? I assume I could use Anthy with KDE, but I haven't been able to find much information.
I'm essentially looking for something that allows me to type Hiragana or Katakana characters, and something that converts the Hiragana to the best guess kanji. I messed around with the "Adding a language" option, but it seems that I can only insert a few kana characters using this method. Thanks for any help! |

Debian wiki
In short, install ibus, ibus-qt4, ibus-anthy, im-config. Run first `ibus-setup` then `im-config` in a terminal. Kimpanel as packaged in Debian may not work as it is outdated. El Psy Congroo.
