Missing ibus system tray icon

Having recently updated from 11.04 I noticed the ibus icon is now missing from the system tray along with the character selection bar(when typing in Japanese). I can still input Japanese but its a real pain without the selection bar. Any ideas?

Have you checked to see if it is simply hidden through the System Tray settings?
