Hi All,
I hope this is the right place for a KWallet Question. I'm struggling to get a handle on how passwords work in KDE with/without KWallet. If I have KWallet switched off, KDE doesn't seem to remember either wireless network passwords (networkmanager) or e-mail account passwords (kmail)... If I have KWallet switched on KDE does remember my wireless network & e-mail passwords... BUT... I am asked for the KWallet master password on bootup (KDEDeamon), again for each e-mail account I have in KMail, and again when I start Chromium. Surely this isn't correct behaviour? What am I missing? Help Appreciated.

The behaviour of KWallet is adjustable. In this case, yours are tuned to be very paranoid.
To tone it down, open System Settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet. Uncheck "Close when last application stops using it" and check one of the other two instead (if you want - entirely optional - KWallet will close on logout in that case).
KDE Sysadmin
