1) KdeWallet is annoying, popping up all the time. I understand the security concerns, but entering my password all the time completely breaks my productivity. There must be a better way.
2) If you don't catch the wallet window immediately after it appears, it will often go into hiding, unable to be found anywhere again. Alt tab, switching desktop, switching activity - it's nowhere to be found. 3) Kopete displays my status in google talk as online, even though I am offline because it could not access the wallet because of above problems. 4) Kopete ignores any attempt by me to log in. Even when I unselect the "remember password" checkbox and/or delete my account and recreate it - I cannot log in anywhere and I cannot go online. As a consequence of the above I am now unable to chat with my friends unless I restart my computer and quickly enter my password into the wallet dialog. This behavior is unacceptable and extremely frustrating. As a user I know exactly what I want to do (log in), but the system does not provide me any user interface where I can actually do it. You people deserve to be mistreated in all kinds of ways for releasing such broken software to the public. If it doesn't work properly yet (and right now it's not even close), don't force people to use the wallet system. |

For 1) open System Settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet. Change the options as needed, unchecking all "Close when..." if needed.
2) should not occur. The window is likely registered to Kopete, so if you minimize all other windows it will probably be sitting on the bottom.

4) To log in/out you need to change your status to/from Online (I never really liked that you had to change your status to log in/out - those are two separate functions)
