I've got some questions pertaining to my install of Yakuake version 2.9.8 on KDE 4.7.2 (distro is openSuSE 12.1):
First I would like to set yakuake to automatically run a program when it opens a new shell, more specifically mc (Midnight Commander); can this be done, and if so how? Second, I've noticed some odd issues with changing the color scheme on Midnight Commander, namely that the menu colors refuse to change. From what I can tell from the documentation of mc, I've changed the config files correctly to do this, so it would seem that the issue lies deeper ... could some setting at yakuake's level be to blame, or does the issue lie in it's dependencies? How do I fix it so that this no longer happens? |

Use the "Manage Profiles" dialog from the menu to create a new shell profile that runs "mc" as its command and then make it the default profile.

Concerning the color scheme, I had recently a problem to change Yakuake's profil colors. At Yakuake restart, all changes were removed.
A workaround is to close Yakuake, start Konsole, make the changes in Konsole's profile and the restart Yakuake. Maybe this trick would not only work for Yakuake's profile but also for Midnight Commander. |
