Usually I'm OS X User - but for some work I have to work with Fedora and came by with the Kexi Database. Some others as Glom I picked up to.
But in my opinion Kexi seems a very favorable product and my opinion is to speed up Kexi for Windows and OS X. I tested import with 1000 records .xls file and a large Adressdatabase with 1 Mio. Records .txt file. Kexi imported both in less than 10 Minutes. Of course some standardized label reports would reduce the efforts for some standard work. Report handling was quite OK - but a duplicate Button for the fields would be nice. I don't like to Adjust the size for every selection. |

@petermueller Thanks, I am glad CSV works for you. We've put a lot of effort in making the CSV handling useful and fast. I know many users depend on it.
Should there be any feature or improvement you'd miss please do not hesitate to tell us here or via email. Sample data files could help to explain. Kexi Reports receive a lot of love recently too. I noted your wish for the Duplicate Button... good idea, would you be able to add a wish to http://bugs.kde.org? The same goes for any wishes/issues. If you ask about OS X version, it would come after porting to newer Qt (5): https://community.kde.org/Kexi/Porting_to_Qt%26KF_5 Given current resources: one thing at a time |
