Snap Kexi packages

Wed Apr 13, 2016 7:32 pm
Hi,
A modern way of distributing software may help us soon:

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/04/ubun ... p-packages

Especially with Ubuntu LTS that can too quickly push users towards obsolete software, that's even mentioned in this article.

What are your thoughts?

And another approach for deployment of Kexi is in our backlog, compatible with more Linuxes:

I saw you are presently preparing a kexi appimage.
I know that Musescore now use one. Users report enthusiastically....

We don't have snap package(s) yet. Any support for that is welcome, either time or we need to collect money to pay someone. There's no other way :)

The current option for Kexi 3 is building from the source code (so "only" the investment of time).
