It's indeed a good idea to use english messages on screenshots and bug reports, Albrecht.

To force locale one time it's most convenient to run from the command line:

LOCALE=en_US kexi

(LOCALE=C works too and is equivalent of en_US)

Since the final 3.1 the traditional menu may be back and then the 'Help → Switch Application Language...' command would allow to switch language permanently for Kexi.

Testing the appimage 3.1 the bug is not existing. In 3.01 it was the old formating bug "up, middle, right ..."
