Hi
Congratulations on RC1! It's very nice to see another powerful open source office suite shaping up. But I am wondering what happened to Kexi, the desktop DBMS application? It looked like a wonderful project. Here at last was hope for a fully functional M$ Access replacement. The last news item on the Kexi homepage mentions it being part of KOffice Alpha 7 in 2008. After that it seems it was taken out of KOffice for the final 2.0 release? Is Kexi still being developed and is there any hope we will see it, say as part of KOffice 2.1? Thanks and best wishes, Ben |

Hi benducke and thanks for motivating me and Adam for writing down a changelog It's now at http://wiki.koffice.org/index.php?title ... 0_Alpha_12 Moreover, http://kexi-project.org/ contains now all the relevant alpha versions of Kexi. As Cyrille has mentioned, development at Kexi side of KOffice runs pretty smoothly, and we expect to have many features of 1.x in KOffice 2.1. Presence of delays may be caused by our first concern that is stability (read: safety of your data) -- regards, Jarosław Staniek http://kexi-project.org http://www.linkedin.com/in/jstaniek |
