I am NOT feeling too confident at the moment!!!

I have moved my Database from Base to Kexi and it was going rather well except for frequent "crashes" from the program as I worked!!

To give you an example I kept a log yesterday and today...

Kexi Crashes

Wed 18th (Started work 10:00)
11:00 - While Starting a Search
12:30 - While Starting a Search
1:35 - While Starting a Search
1:37 - While Starting a Search

3:09 - While Starting a Search
3:27 - While Starting a Search
3:32 - While Starting a Search
3:39 - While Starting a Search
3:47 - While Starting a Search
4:50 - While Starting a Search
4:51 - While Starting a Search
4:59 - While Starting a Search
5:39 - While Starting a Search
6:13 - While Starting a Search
(Stopped work 6:45)

16 "Crashes" in apprx 8 hours.

Thur 19th (Started work 9:40 - Only light work on DB today))
12:13 - While Starting a Search
12:27 - While up-dating a record.
1:20 - While Starting a Search
2:52 - While Starting a Search
5:04 - Closing down Kexi - ALL DATA GONE IN TABLES!!!!!!!!!

As I said this makes me very un-happy and another two days of work down the tubes!!!

I'm using Kexi 2.3.3 on PCLinuxOS 2012-2 (the latest) on an up-to-date Core4 Intel based Desktop machine. I DO NOT have this kind of problem with ANY of the other programs I run!!??

It seems there is some underlying weakness in this program to me - specially with the Search routine.

Any comments or suggestions please????

Friendly advice, could you please be more specific in the Subject? It is at least second time when the Subject line is like "crashes all the time" or "keeps crashing". I edited the Subject before for you but now expecting minimal cooperation this time. Nobody (including me) can distinguish between two emails with such subjects. So please edit the Subject and as always include the usage scenario step by step.

Please also write in more organized way, without all the repeated '!' and '?' characters - they do not help and using them would have exactly opposite effect than one may expect.

Easy to read/understand requests are handled before, hard to read have lower priority.

I assure you that everyone is committed to help you if the answer is known, so please help us to do that.

Is this an English Language Forum or a Database Forum??
My Subject line describes exactly what is happening (Maybe I could have said "still" crashing)
What am I doing - I think that is obvious. I put a name into the find box, set any parameters and press "Find Next" - Result is a crash.
The last two were slightly different as I pressed "Save Row" and "Project Close" respectively

One more point Jaroslaw. Your "Simple Database" you sent me (thanks) ALSO crashes my system. I can only open the Persons Form. The other two crash Kexi. So I'm thinking it is NOT something to do with the design of the layout but rather the program itself.

Last point - the two copies of my Project File are the right size and have not reduced but show no data in Kexi Tables. Can that file be "opened" to get at the data??
