Hi All,
First time trying Kexi. I had made a pretty intense Access database a few months back and the plan was to make a similar (but better) open source version with kexi. So my first question, I can't even figure out where to find widgets for forms. I set the data source to a test table, the test table has a single object (text_test). All I wanted to do was make a form to enter text into the table table_test but after I set the data source I don't see any of the "widgets" which I'm reading I should see. Thanks in advance |

Hi,
As soon as you create new form, Form Design tab appears (Kexi 2.4 or newer it even switched to it automatically). There are widget icons like Label, Text Box in the toolbar. You can refer to this section of the Kexi Handbook for more information: http://userbase.kde.org/Kexi/Handbook/Building_Simple_Databases/Designing_Forms/Inserting_widgets_-_text_fields (Edited the subject to make it more relevant) |

Thanks for the reply. I'm running 2.2, must be the issue. I am going to try to build the package for my distro and get them to add it in our repository possibly this weekend. Thanks again
