Hello,
Interesting question. Could you elaborate what do you mean by mdb2kexi?

Kexi has no write access for the .mdb format, actually nobody in the open world has (without running Access or its libs) since .mdb is deeply closed format (dated at 1991 or so). It's the remaining of the long-term MS' attitude of keeping .doc, .xls, .ppt formats secret, now abandoned, but for unclear reasons (probably patents and/or [surprise...] lost documentation) .mdb is kept secret that curses the legacy MSA market.
There is Jackcess Java library with some write support which we could use (if we find support from sponsors). Even then let's do not expect e.g. the same type of forms will be used in MSA and Kexi - we would have to leave our design decisions (if not open standards) and emulate Windows user interfaces (that MS is apparently gradually abandoning with Office 15/Win 8 anyway).
