Hi,
Made my first basic report design. I used an existing query as the 'internal source' which is how I imagined it is meant to work, expecting the relevant fields to instantly populate the report, but no. Still. I see that this is the data that I get when I add in necessary fields to the report design and run it, so ok. I can sort the report, so basically all going as it should. "It's great when a plan comes together" (the A-Team!). I also note that this report does not show on machines running earlier versions of kexi. Probably I should have expected that. So just a report card giving you an 'A' here. Small whinge. All very well mentioning Kexi as the long awaited successor to Excel and a host of other hopefuls, but you really owe it to Paradox as the father of all desktop database apps. It should have a mention in the prime spot. regards Anne |

Well, our claim is to replace Access, not Excel Indeed, we owe a lot to creators of Paradox... Also to Fox Pro and Lotus Approach; every product had something nice inside. Regarding Excel, our advice (can be seen in the documentation) is that spreadsheets aren't always *the* solution for massive data and for data sharing. |
