Continuing my migration from Knoda ;
On a old computer I run successfully Kexi 2.5.0 (KDE 4.9.1) as installed from Kubuntu repository. On my usual computer I installed a new Debian stable (which allowed me to reinstall Knoda). AKDE 4.9.1nd I compiled Kexi 2.5.4 (KDE 4.4.5). Trying to open the .kexi running on 2.5.0 I receive "The file soso.kexi is not recognized as being supported by Kexi" and details say "database driver for this file type not found. Detected MIME type : application/x-sqlite3(sqlite3database)" Also creation of a new "file" database fails : "couldn't find database driver "" . " (sqllite 3 is installed) And creation of a new "mysql" database : "couldn't find database driver "mysql" . " (mysql server 5.1 is running) Migration says "Incompatible plugin "migration" version : found version 255, expected version 2." Thanks for any help. |

Hello Robert, Assuming you have executed make install after the compilation please follow the instructions Running Calligra applications, in particular please try to run kbuildsycoca4. This is usually needed to refresh information about plugins before first execution of a completely new build (I think after rebuild you won't need this). (edited the subject) |
