Hi,
I started designing a table that needs some entries to be of the "long text" subtype. (More than 2000 000 characters.) I am however unable to enter any data into those fields, whereas I am able to enter data into fields which are normal "Text" and integer numbers. I am also able to insert pictures into fields which need them. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks Jan |

Hi Jan, what's your Kexi version?

I'm running Kexi 2.4.0
Installed it from the Ubuntu repositories about 3 days ago. P.S: For what it's worth: I now also installed the following packages: kexi-mysql-driver, kexi-sybase-driver, kexi-xbase-driver, kexi-postgresql-driver. It was a shot in the dark but the problem persists. |

I suggest to upgrade to Kexi 2.5.5 or at least 2.4.3, which has this improvement: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=301277. If your distribution do not offer software updates, you can request to do so or upgrade the distribution itself. This is very important to have distributors cooperate with us, software developers, especially in case of evolving and maintained software such as Kexi.
