I want to be able to enter data into a database using a format like that shown when you open a table in Data mode. However I want a few 'hooks' to make things happen when one does certain things.

Is this remotely possible with Kexi yet? I either need a way to add actions to the table data grid or I need a way to have create a grid on a form.

I am sorry or the late response.

The feature is very useful indeed. Unfortunately missing in Kexi, even in 2.8.

I understand that four (of many) possible means could be:
* triggers
* scripts (client-side)
* scripts (server-side)
* macros (as in MS Access)

They are not mutually exclusive.

I recommend filing a wish at http://bugs.kde.org so the community is aware of this need.
