How to copy report format?

Thu Jul 18, 2013 4:45 pm
I have created a report and want to create 2 more similar reports except with one different field each. I do not want to re-create the whole report again if only one field is different. How do I copy the original report and change just one field in it? The cut and paste does not work across reports.

Hello wmae,
Kexi 2.7 contains "Save As" command for any object (table, query, form, report...), just open the see report for design and use Save As to save identical copy under new name. See the screenshot at https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/107913. This feature was added for exactly your needs...

For people compiling Kexi from GIT's source code, this feature was available in January 2013 already in master branch.

Final Calligra / Kexi 2.7 release is planned within 7 days or so. Please note that Linux distributions tend to have delay.
