Thanks Admin,
Yep, as soon as I moved the Preference order with chinese lang down, Kexi got updated in English, so it does seems like French is not complete
wich surprised me a bit since I though this Soft as quite some dev. behind...but.
I removed Chinese completely - I could not look for English - to remove but I guess it would not be a profitable idea
since the Soft might not even run if it's left with some "null" GUI value... :-\
+ I rather have some English than none.
Yet I have not created an other user to see if that would help... ???

No null strings would be displayed, as it is not possible to remove the (American) English strings - they are baked into KDE applications and libraries (it uses them to determine which string to use in your preferred language)

Doesn't anyone from the Gui translation Team members Kexi or Volunteer
knows anything about this behavior ? ...other ppl should face the problem, nop ?

- I've been looking for an English package to be removed, but I do not even find one

that's what it shows...

Other people will be facing the same issue, yes - if they are using the French translation as well.
Falling back to another language is not ideal, but it is the only option available when a translated version of the string is unavailable.

As the English version is where it starts from, it is not possible to remove it - the English strings are baked into the application and libraries.
If you wish, you could join the French translation team and assist in translating KDE applications such as Kexi.

Unfortunately your screenshot doesn't display here.

Yep, sure, that's an idea. I downloaded Valentina Studio meanwhile.

... just installed NetSurf browser to double check. Pictures displays fine on both: FF + NS
with direct access to the png. http://i40.tinypic.com/280acg.png is that better ?
maybe you have some restrictions on displaying Png format pix
.. ..or they are French too :) ?

That url worked interestingly - the packages you have installed should be sufficient, although i'd also advise checking for a general KDE language pack as well just to be sure.

Okay, then the translations are simply incomplete - all you can do is wait for the next update, or join the translation team and assist.
