It can be downloaded as single archive file from http://download.kde.org/stable/calligra ... 7.5.tar.xz " I download and unpack as repertory calligra-2.7.5 in repertory ~/kde4/src, then open a terminal, navigate to the downloaded repertory...where there is no initrepo script "leleu@leleu-portable ~ $ cd kde4/src/calligra-2.7.5/ leleu@leleu-portable ~/kde4/src/calligra-2.7.5 $ ./initrepo.sh bash: ./initrepo.sh: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type leleu@leleu-portable ~/kde4/src/calligra-2.7.5 $ " where is my error ? |

Hi Robert. I am glad you're building. I just improved the section: http://community.kde.org/Calligra/Build ... le_Version
So you have two options. You apparently used the first, what's smaller download but wouldn't let you to update the code quickly. I recommend you the second option unless you have really good reason not to go this way. For the 1st option you do not have any initrepo.sh script to run. |

Thanks to Jaroslav. I try later
Meanwhile I found in http://linuxg.net/how-to-install-callig ... -15-14-13/ the ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports which I added, and now synaptic shows 1:2.7.5 versions for calligra applications, including kexi, so I kill my 2.7.2 to-morrow So I just installed 2.7.5 and I use it for some urgent updates to my database. I come back later to the use of the compilation. |

And will have now a pause
Since the ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports delivers Kexi 2.7.5 the incentive to build it disappears And I found how to run project neon and kexi 2.8 (the trick had presumably something to see to my left-handed mouse). Unfortunately the KDE environment seems to preclude the use of Musescore (a music editor) a daily companion...... so I stay running 2.7.5 However if there are some special tests to do under 2.8 I'll be available on request. |

Robert, nice to see Kexi 2.7.5 works for you now.
Regarding the Musescore app, please look at http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started ... ute_to_KDE: "After (sudo apt-get update) you can simply install the nightly package of whichever modules you want to work on. The packages are named project-neon-<git/svn module name>. The packages are installed in /opt/project-neon/ and won't affect your stable KDE install. " So I guess you do not need to replace your KDE workspace with the very new version, but only the apps you prefer to have bleeding edge. You can install Kexi (2.8+) from neon alongside with older Kexi. Please note, I am not user of (K)Ubuntu but openSUSE. |
