Hi,
The Kexi search box has a drop drown that I presume should retain recent searches. But it does not. The very earliest versions of kexi that i used did have this feature functional, but functionality disappeared with an upgrade at some stage. Now, using the latest compiled version, I thought this would be sorted, but still no functionality. Please advise. regards Ian |

Jaroslaw,
Bug filed. Done! Inspection of the bug reporting form leads me to believe that this is the preferred place to file for new features or small changes? Am I right? When to file a bug, when to report to this Forum? Ian |

Thanks. I think it depends. To avoid extra work, practical approach would be to submit if the bug only if you're 99% sure it's a bug or well defined wish. If you're not sure, asking on the forum is a bit faster than filling the fields of the bugs.kde.org. Moreover discussion that happens here can help us to submit better, more complete bug/wish reports. More importantly, please note, for independent reasons description and comments at bugs.kde.org is not editable even for me as an admin, so it's good to have quality content there. Sometimes I link to a wiki page dedicated to a task (e.g. http://community.kde.org/Kexi/Junior_Jobs or this task/wish: http://community.kde.org/Kexi/Plugins/T ... lter_table) instead of entering a wall of text to the bugs.kde.org system, especially for more complex wishes/tasks. Then I am only publishing a link to the page. This way everything is editable. |
