Hello,
I have Kexi installed on OpenSuse 13.1. I wanted do create a new data base.

I chose:
1. New
2. Empty Project
3. New Project stored in a local data base
4. Gave a name

Then the error message "Der Datenbanktreiber „“ kann nicht gefunden werden." (in English: The database driver "" cannot be found).

Any suggestions?

Hi Johannes!
It seems that OpenSUSE choose to only recommending the default (SQLite-based) database support in Kexi and does not install support for any database by default.

You may need to install kexi-sqlite3-driver package.

There are other too:
kexi-mysql-driver
kexi-postgresql-driver
kexi-mssql-driver
kexi-xbase-driver

etc.

For full feature set, just install anything that starts with "kexi-".

Good that it works for you. What's your Kexi version, by the way?

For 2.7.x we've added one check when no database server drivers are found (a clear case of mis-installation).
More specific one covering the case you've encountered could be quite useful.
