Hi Jaroslaw,
you find the current db in the clowd, please have a look on it. It seems to me, there is no request possible with text and date. Digits ar ok. example: "328" was found, "Granit" and "25.04.2012" not. Albrecht

Thanks Albrecht, I'll share results here when I `grab' some time.
PS: I altered the subject -- please let's be more specific so topics are easier to find, thanks. |

Hi Albrecht,
Are we talking about the Meilensteine.kexi project and meilensteine table and letzte_Aenderung column? In the SQL mode, adding this works:
Just treat dates as text values. In the design mode, entering 2012-05-12 or '2012-05-12' in criteria works. If you meant forms, entering date values requires format that you have set up in your system's settings. See https://userbase.kde.org/System_Settings/Locale and https://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-runt ... e-datetime for more. Examples: If the format is yyyy-mm-dd, then you cannot enter 25.04.2012. See the field of date type on your form: https://community.kde.org/File:Kexi-dat ... d_date.png Entering 2012-04-25 works since my format is yyyy-mm-dd. Kexi follows system format for dates and times. Hope this helps. PS: yes, having format setting would be good, it's on the 1000-items-long todo list |

If I change the date-format in the system-settings to JJJJ-MM-DD than the request works fine. Going back to the ordinary german format DD.MM.JJJJ than the request fails.
Did you test the request filter with a text? Albrecht

As a db-newcomer I had to learn, that the query needs bevor and behind the text: "
So only the date-problem exists. (27.04.2015 is not accepted even though this format corresponds to the regional preferences) Albrecht
