Sort on 2 fields in table

Thu Jul 02, 2015 5:31 pm
Is it possible to sort on two fields within a table? I can do this in a query but have not figured out how to do this in a table.
Also, is there a way to search (Find) on more than one field while in form mode?

Hi wmae

It is not possible to sort this way. Suitable wish is needed at bugs.kde.org.

Find should be improved in forms to reflect options you see in the Find window. Suitable bug (one per given feature) is needed at bugs.kde.org.

Approach could search on multiple fields in form mode 25 years ago. PC-File could do it in the 1980s. Is the reason Kexi can't do a lot of the basic things that one expects in a database program due to the limitations of Sqlite? Just wondering. I use Kexi a lot and have been able to either find work arounds or do without certain features.

No, please look that search on multiple fields works in the tabular view. In forms there's a bug that can be fixed if it's reported @ bugs.kde.org.
Sorry for pushing you there but we have to avoid reports floating over several web sites. For an important reason: we can't afford cleaning it up afterwards.
