Thanks Jarasow It was actually a 'Typo' not that I didn't understand it - but thanks for picking it up!! However when the new Kexi opens up I try to open my old Kexi file and the program freezes. So I tried to 'Load it into Kexi Project' and I get the Error - Could not import Database "/home/ianwh/FedSaints/Database/Kexi/FederalSaintsDB.kexi". This type is not supported. This DB runs perfectly in 2.9.11 - So how do I get it into 3.1?? Thanks |

OK thanks Ian,
I am superhappy that the AppImage runs on your system because you're very active user of Kexi. Advice 0: Which exactly applicaiton version? We have like 3 AppImages already. > Could not import Database "/home/ianwh/FedSaints/Database/Kexi/FederalSaintsDB.kexi". This type is not supported. I wonder how can we access this path here on the forum. Advice 1: always provide the file(s) referred in the report at least privately. Even while I've mailed you off this forum many times, I only found a small FedSaints.kexi file from you sent in January 2016. This file opens well with kexi-git20170206-x86_64.AppImage. So please provide anything that hangs for you and we will check with some other Kexi versions. Regarding the message "Could not import Database", it is correct because Importing from SQLite isn't implemented: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125843 I am not sure why to immediately try an unreliable path (where loosing design is involved) when first obstacle appears... Advice 2: find actual cause of issues with the help of the community before choosing workarounds or unofficial solutions. Now instead of having one issue mentioned we have two issues combined in one thread |

Hello Ian,
The kexi-git20170206-x86_64.AppImage version does not crash nor freeze for me (nor any version I have). My operating system is openSUSE though. You OS - seems to be PClinuxOS 64-bit (what version?). I am aware "works for me" isn't going to help much but at least we found no apparent regression between 2.9 and 3.1. What's different is a form of distribution and possible incompatibility between the Appimage produced and your OS. I've sent you a private screenshot of Kexi working with your project. Are you able to say how do you open the file, step by step? Also could you please run kexi-git20170206-x86_64.AppImage from command line (console) and send me all the console output that what was displayed? You can do this by executing: $ ./kexi-git20170206-x86_64.AppImage > log.txt 2>&1 and sending me the log.txt file. We can use this to ask the creators of the Appimage for fixes. PS: There's new version at https://s3-eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/d ... ppimage%2F |

Update from me (since Ian has not updated here): The db now works for Ian too - somehow after downloading the fresh Appimage version. No special actions performed. Closing the thread then.
