Thanks Robert. Because you provided precise versions I was able to deduce possible reason. Reported it at: https://github.com/appimage-packages/kexi/issues/8
A current workaround for you would be to keep using the "git 5284011" version until we sort out the issue. |

Another test if you find time: download another app - MuseScore https://musescore.org/en/download#AppImage which uses the same technology to test if it accepts your keyboard. Thanks. |

Since the above address is dead I go on reporting here, that, since Ubuntu 17.04 the same Kexi is in french and recognize my BÉPO kbd |
