I finished all forms so this problem does no longer affect me, however it would be interesting to see why it happens.

Hello,

I'm creating a small database with Kexi, so far I'm loving it but the program keeps crashing when creating forms. Before detailing the issue here is some information that might be of help:

"Hardware": Virtual Machine with Oracle VM Virtual Box Manager version 5.2.0 r118431 (Qt5.6.2)
OS: Ubuntu 16.04.3 64bits
Software: Kexi 2.9.7 (using KDA Development Platform 4.14.16)

When creating a form if I copy and paste labels and text boxes the program does crash sometimes, it is becoming increasingly frustrating specially if I haven't save the progress prior to the error.

Thanks for trying Kexi. The 2.9 series are no longer supported by us. Solution for you is to upgrade (3.0.2 is the current) so we will see if the issue has been fixed already.
You would be able to upgrade a bit easier since you're running OS in virtual machine. Please contact your OS vendor for details on the upgrade.

2.9 is the latest available version of Kexi in the Ubuntu repository, I take it that I could get 3.0.2 version using another repository?

This is missing sufficient version of the breeze icons package (the one with the breeze-icons.rcc file). Please contact the vendor or the forums. They should fix it by now - the bug does not belong to Kexi.

We have provided info how to package Kexi - the icon file is a requirement: https://cgit.kde.org/kexi.git/tree/READ ... ERS.md#n31
