Hi !

When you connect to the mariadb database, an error occurs -
"Could not read database property "kexidb_major_ver". Error opening database cursor."

Kexi ver - KEXI 3.1.0 Preview 2018-03-12 (41dff828c)
MariDB ver - 5.5.5-10.3.7-MariaDB
OS ver - Windows 10 Pro

What could be the problem ?

Thanks for the report. MariaDB is supported however as with any database it needs to be created using KEXI. Toad is right, Q4.2 and A4.2 on the FAQ page explains this: http://www.kexi-project.org/wiki/wikivi ... xiFAQ.html

Mid-term we want to allow linking external databases to KEXI automatically but this requires detection facilities we just do not have yet.
Solution: try to import the database using KEXI from MariaDB to MariaDB but to another name of database. KEXI will "learn" the database structure this way.
