Hi,
Kexi can visualize a weblink. So fine. But what if I want visualize a pdf-file or text about a lokal or internet link? There is a shortcut button in form to call my extern browser or my mail-program. Will there be a possibility to visualize pdf within kexi? |

Hello Semperlin
For now Web Browser widget is available in KEXI forms as well as Web Browser element in KEXI reports. In theory people can use a web-based PDF rendering service, either offline (file:// protocol) or remote, that displays the PDF inline. This way the only think that is needed to be stored within the KEXI database is URL of each file, e.g. https://example.com/path/to/pdf/1234/. Uploading such files and managing them would belong to external software though. This can work assuming that the PDF web renderer works with the WebKit-based technology KEXI uses, what needs to be tested, but there is big chance for that. Cheers |
