Hello,
I'm an Italian from Milan. my English is not good. I'm interested in kexi database. My operating system is ubuntu 19.10 64 bit on lenovo ideapad 330s. I have installed Kexi 3.1. It has the following drawbacks: 1 - the script section is missing; 2 - it is poor in actions to assign to buttons; 3 - the date field in the table does not accept the 4-digit year value; 4 - in module maintenance sometimes it closes suddenly; 5 - sometimes the .kexi file is not recognized on opening; 6 - if a table is modified during maintenance, it deletes the already loaded records. I tried the same version in windows 10 and it has the same drawbacks. Have I uploaded a beta version not yet complete? and which version could I upload instead? I greet and thank you for any help. Hi,
3.2 is the latest stable that shall be offered everywhere (unixes and windows). Static link is: https://community.kde.org/Kexi/Releases As an extra on Linux you have snapshots but none of the features you mention are present in the 3.3. Alpha. But at least one should use 3.2 on Linux not 3.1. In detail: 1 - the script section is missing - yes, it is a module that awaits for a big budget to complete it 2 - it is poor in actions to assign to buttons - feel free to report specific wishes: https://community.kde.org/Kexi/File_a_bug_or_wish 3 - the date field in the table does not accept the 4-digit year value; - see viewtopic.php?f=221&t=164324 4 - in module maintenance sometimes it closes suddenly; - please browse the KEXI bug list and/or report exact situation to help 5 - sometimes the .kexi file is not recognized on opening; - it might be fixed in 3.2 so check it out instead of 3.1 6 - if a table is modified during maintenance, it deletes the already loaded records. - it is a feature that awaits for a big budget to complete it Cheers. |
