I just installed Kexi 3.2 for the first time and I'm trying to set up a Database Server.
So came the alert that I don't have kdb-****-drivers. I installed a lot of them because I don't know which one I needed. But it still doesn't work. Can someone please point me to a tutorial or guide on using a database server? Thanks! |

Hello
1. Which distribution and its version? 2. What packages / versions? Official? 3. It's worth to report invalid packages because they are maybe untested. KEXI authors have no control over this deployment. In case of emergency there are Flatpak packages: https://community.kde.org/Kexi/Snapshots#Linux Cheers. |

I running Linux Mint 19.3 with Kexi 3.2 Nightly Stable.
I installed via Synaptic the packages: libkdb-data libkdb3-4 libkdb3-dev libkdb3-driver-mysql libkdb3-driver-postgresql libkdb3--driver-sqlite I don't have much experience with databases or even Kexi. But I developed a small application with an MS Access when I was a user of that system years ago, and now came the need to create some applications for a company my brother and I are running and I'm implementing Linux all over it. Thanks for your time!!! ![]() |

We need to know, any Linux Mint users out here?
Alternatively you can ask on Linux Mint forums. I believe there is something distro specific here. Idea. You can run KEXI using "strace kexi-3.2 > log.txt" and attach the log to a bug on bugs.kde.org. |

Hi. kdb-* package should be installed for mysql or postgresql. For question you can contact the Kubuntu/Ubuntu team. For example if the packages are prepared incorrectly, they do not require mysql or postgresql client packages so please make sure you have them installed.
The message you see in KEXI was designed exactly to point users that there is something wrong outside of KEXI itself, i.e. in the distribution or package management. |
