Hi,
I have been getting acquainted with Kexi for some time now. I really like it, and I wanted to "migrate" a LO Base database to Kexi. (It is a small database and it I have no problem creating the tables and adding the data manually, so I am good there.) I have a couple of questions: 1) is there a widget for radio buttons? I know there is a widget for a check box, but I didn't see any for radio buttons. Is this a feature in Kexi? 2) I understand that you can assign copy/paste to clipboard actions through push buttons. I have tried getting this to work, but I have had no luck. Is there any way to have text in a text box (or text editor box), select it, click a button configured by action to copy the data to the clipboard, and have the data available to paste from the clipboard? I am running Kexi 3.1 on Ubuntu 20.04. Thank you for your help and time. |

Hi, thanks for trying KEXI
Unfortunately not at the moment. When it comes, to be usable, it should be bound to data, and/or react to some scripting, right? Filing a wish would be useful: https://community.kde.org/Kexi/File_a_bug_or_wish
We have no luck here because the copy/paste/cut actions need the context of the current selection in any text widget that's currently focused. Unfortunately by the time when we click the button, focus changes to the button itself. (Changing Focus Policy of the button even to None won't help). I think we have these clipboard actions because they are on the list of application-global actions but we haven't noticed the shortcoming (lack of use case). And they would be usable when used with shortcuts and/or toolbar actions (neither is available for creation by the user right now in KEXI) It would be nice to report a wish/bug for this, can you? https://community.kde.org/Kexi/File_a_bug_or_wish Cheers/ |
