I am having trouble getting Kexi to work properly with postgreSQL.
I started by freshly installing KDE Neon on my computer. I installed postgresql and registered it with systemctl. The command sudo
Next I installed Kexi from the repository using the Discover app. But when I try to run Kexi, it fails with this error:
So I removed that version of Kexi and installed the flatpak version. This version runs just fine but it cannot connect to postgreSQL, it gives an error screen telling me that no database driver can be found. I installed the database driver package
Can anyone help me get this working? What am I missing? |

Hi pentaxis
Thanks for trying KEXI. How about asking the distributor (Neon) for support? I mean testing if the package runs correctly, not just the fact of installation. Messages you quoted are exactly to help them pinpoint a problem. Regarding the flatpak version, postgresql is not supported at the moment due to problem with postgresql dependencies themselves. Users that depend on this requirement can ask the KDE continuous integration team to support the postgresql dependencies or hire someone to make this service. As soon as this is met, KEXI package will be built automatically with this support detected. Cheers. Jarek |

Try installing breeze-icon-theme-rcc, and maybe report this packaging bug for this against Neon's packaging on KDE's bugtracker
