Hi,
I am working with Opensuse Leap 15.3. Until recently I have been using knoda as frontend for my databases which are stored on postgresql12-server. As there is no more support for knoda I'm trying switch to kexi. As a first step with kexi I created a new database and tried to import existing tables which I exported from the existing database. This didn't work. As I found the option to import the tabledata into an existing table I thought: Well, let's try this. So I tried to create first the table in order to later on import the data. But this did not work either. When I try to safe the table definition I get the message (more or less): Failing to safe the object "testtbl_kfz" Details: Saving the object definition has failed. The transaction was not realised. Nevertheless looking with psql I can see that the table was created. Therefore I stopped kexi and started it again. Now I can see the table, but I can't open it. Clicking on the icon I get: Opening the object 'testtbl_kfz' has failed. You can delete and newly create the object „testtbl_kfz“. What can I do? Thanks in advance. Michael |

Hi. Have you created the database in KEXI or outside? Only the former is currently correct approach. KEXI is not a frontend over SQL database, like e.g. PG admin.
Can you temporarily try to alter the db connection to use admin user? If that works then we'll know there are some permission issues. What is your KEXI version exactly? Cheers |
