Can I install Kexi on Windows 7?

Tue Feb 15, 2011 11:20 am
Hi
I'd like to give a try to Kexi. I'am at work and I only have a Windows 7 computer available.
I checked the Kexi project page and followed the instructions. I went to windows.kde.org and installed the KDE Windows installer but Kexi is not in the list of applications of the installer.
How can I install kexi on Windows 7?
Thank you!

Finding Kexi (Koffice) in one of the repositories for KDE on Windows is hit-or-miss. The last KDE version that had Koffice was 4.4.1. I'm hoping to see it show up in the next version of KDE on Windows that is released.

That said, if you are expeditious, you can use the emerge tool to build KDE from source (instructions: http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started ... ows/emerge), after which you should be able to download+compile+install the Koffice (Calligra) source (instructions are expected but missing at: http://userbase.kde.org/KOffice/Download#Windows).

OK. Thank you.
I will try Kexi at home, on Ubuntu...
